Physical Fitness and Stick Skill Requirements for Leonardtown Boy's Lacrosse
Freshman and Sophomores
Mile requirement - 7 minute mile
Bench Press -be able to bench your weight
Leg Press -be able to leg press 2x your weight
Push ups -be able to complete 25 push ups properly in one session without stopping 2 minutes allotted
Sit ups -be able to complete 25 sit-ups properly in one session two minutes allotted
Freshman Stick Skills Requirements
Be able to catch and throw right hand proficiently running. be able to catch and throw over the shoulder accurately running
Be able to scoop ground balls running, left and right hand proficiently.
Be able to shoot on the run accurately.
Have a basic understanding of team lacrosse concepts, offensively and defensively. Suggested site: Kuddalacrosse.com
Sophomores Stick Skills Requirement
Be able to catch and throw right and left hand proficiently running.
Be able to catch and throw over the shoulder accurately running
Be able to scoop ground balls running, left and right hand proficiently.
Be able to shoot on the run left and right hand accurately.

Juniors and Seniors
Mile requirement 6 minutes 30 seconds
Bench Press - Must be able to bench press your weight Five times
Leg press - Must be able to leg press twice your weight five times
Push ups - must be able to complete 40 proper push ups in one session. Two minutes allotted
Sit-ups - Must be able to complete 40 sit-ups properly in one session. Two minutes allotted
Chin-ups - Must be able to perform 5 chin-ups properly in one session.
Juniors and Seniors Stick Skills Requirement
Must be able to catch and throw right and left hand proficiently/ running.
Must be able to catch and throw over the shoulder accurately/ running
Must be able to scoop ground balls running, left and right hand proficiently.
Must be able to shoot on the run left and right hand accurately.

All players will be graded and given points based on their abilities on a scale of 1 to 5 for stick skill abilities and conditioning. The points will be tallied and used to evaluate a player. These evaluations will be factored in when decisions need to be made at the end of tryouts. Effort, leadership, commitment, citizenship, will also play a big part.
